Growing up, I wanted to be a fighter pilot or a priest, but then martial arts happened. I fell in love with martial arts at a young age by watching Black Belt Theater. In fact, my first martial arts lesson took place in elementary school. My passion for martial arts grew: I started HapKiDo in 1990, began Assistant Instructing in 1991, became a Black Belt in 1994, and then became a Master in 2014. Throughout the 90's, I competed in a lot of martial arts tournaments. Other martial art areas that I am involved in include being captain of the Demonstration Team, Sparring Team, and Grappling Team.
In addition to continually growing in HapKiDo, I also enjoy hanging out with my beautiful wife and two daughters. As I am heavily involved in practicing martial arts and running multiple Georgia Choe's HapKiDo & I Love Kickboxing locations, I also get a kick out of watching other lives being changed with martial arts because it has greatly influenced mine.
